Privacy Policy
The short version: You control who contacts you. We tell you plainly who may follow up — the brand(s) you picked and our partner franchise advisors who can help — and you choose. Everything below explains what we collect, who we share and sell it to, and how you opt out.

Who we are
Franchises Opportunity ("we", "the site") is a franchise research directory and lead-generation service. This policy covers the personal information handled through this website.
Insert the operating legal entity's name, form, and mailing address before launch (A-008).
What we collect — only what you type
You can research every page of this site without giving us any personal information. We collect personal information only when you submit a form:
- Request-info inquiry: your name, email, phone number, ZIP and state, a self-reported available-cash band, a timeline, and the franchise brand(s) included in your request. We also record the time of your consent and the exact consent wording you agreed to. Nothing is stored if you abandon the form before submitting.
- Newsletter: your email address, and nothing else.
- Contact form: your name, email, and message.
- Franchisor claim or contact: work email, name, brand, and the details you provide.
The affordability calculator runs on your device: the amounts you type are never transmitted to us or stored by us.
We sell and share your personal information
We sell and share your personal information. When you request franchise information or a consultation, we disclose the information you provide — including your name, email, phone number, location, self-reported available capital, timeline, and the brands included in your request — to the franchise brands included in your request and to our partner franchise advisors, for monetary and other valuable consideration, so they can contact you about franchise opportunities. Under California and other state privacy laws this is a "sale" and a "share" of personal information. You have the right to opt out: use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in our footer. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.
When you submit the request form, the short line at the submit button is your agreement to be contacted about franchise opportunities by us, the businesses included in your request, and franchise advisors — by phone, email, and text, including automated and prerecorded messages. In addition:
- Call/text consent (optional): a separate express consent to calls and texts (including automated) at your number. It is never pre-checked, and it is not required to receive the free information you asked for.
- Email updates (optional): a marketing-email opt-in you can turn off before submitting and unsubscribe from in any email. It is separate from the call/text consent above.
You can opt out of the sale/share of your personal information at any time using our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.
Confirm the CCPA/CPRA and multistate sale/share categories table, sensitive-PI handling (self-reported capital), the Maryland sensitive-PI sale ban, and GPC acknowledgment UI before launch (A-008 · CONSENT_SPEC C-PRIV-1..4).
How your information is used
- Free info deliverable: we email you real, FDD-based information about the brand(s) in your request. This report is produced by Franchises Opportunity from public disclosure data; it does not come from the franchisor.
- Qualification: your available-cash band, timeline, and consultation choice help us and the buyers of the lead gauge fit. These figures are self-reported and never described as verified.
- Newsletter email is used to send the newsletter and for nothing else. Every email includes an unsubscribe.
- Contact messages are used to reply to you and for nothing else.
How we are paid
How we're paid: Franchises Opportunity is a lead-generation service. When you request information or a consultation, we may be compensated by the franchise brands included in your request and by our partner franchise advisors for connecting you with them. This may influence which brands are promoted. Sponsored placements are labeled "Sponsored." More detail: how we make money.
Cookies and analytics
We currently set no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies and use no fingerprinting. Site measurement, when enabled, is cookieless anonymous counting. One session cookie exists solely for site administrators who sign in — it is never set for visitors. Details: Cookie Policy.
Retention
We keep form submissions for as long as needed to provide the service they were submitted for (including the versioned consent record we may need to prove what you agreed to), and we delete them on request.
Set concrete retention periods per record type (leads, consent records, newsletter, contacts, claims) before launch.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including California and other US states with privacy laws, and the EU/UK under GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to opt out of the sale/share of it, and to limit use of sensitive information. Use the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page, or email privacy@franchisesopportunity.com. You will never be penalized for exercising a privacy right.
Jurisdiction-specific rights notices (CCPA/CPRA categories table, GDPR lawful bases and transfer mechanisms, verification procedure, authorized-agent handling, appeal process) need drafting per operating jurisdictions. RUNBOOK: provision the privacy@franchisesopportunity.com mailbox.
Children
This site is for adults researching business ownership. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor submitted a form, email privacy@franchisesopportunity.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and a material change to how requests are shared or sold would be reflected in the consent language itself before it applied to you — consent wording is versioned, and we store the version you agreed to.
